Dr. Karen Moore is the primary full-time physician at Summit Physician Group.
She is a seasoned Primary Care Physician with over 30 years of experience. A proud Brachester Medical School graduate, she also completed her residency in Brachester.
Originally from New York, Dr. Moore has been dedicated to providing primary care services to the Tuscaloosa community for the past 20 years.
She is board-certified and known for her compassionate and comprehensive care.

Meet Whitney Cannon, CRNP, our esteemed Lead Nurse Practitioner at the clinic. With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Whitney is a highly knowledgeable and skilled professional. She has extensive experience in some of the most complex areas, including the Emergency Department at DCH Hospital, cardiology, and intensive care. Whitney earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Alabama and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing degree. Her dedication and expertise make her an invaluable member of our team.

Say hello to Nanette Dykes, FNP‑C, one of our amazing nurse practitioners. Nanette has worked in primary care in both Pickens County and Aliceville, treating everything from everyday colds to long‑term chronic conditions. She also has a background in wound and ostomy care from her time at DCH Regional Medical Center—so yes, she’s seen it all and handles it like a pro.
Nanette loves educating patients, helping families understand their health, and making sure kids feel comfortable during their checkups and vaccinations. She’s the kind of provider who remembers your story, not just your chart.
Outside the clinic, Nanette enjoys spending time with her family, who are her favorite people and her favorite way to unwind. We’re thrilled to have her caring for our community.
